My little girl is fair of hair,
On the outside she acts like she doesn't care.
But I know deep down within her heart,
The things people say and do tear her apart.
Sometimes she laughs and shrugs her shoulders,
I hope it doesn't effect her when she's older.
Sometime I rock her and hold her tight,
And tell her everything will be alright.
When she is older things will change,
And she won't even remember their names.
It won't matter what they say,
She'll be standing strong at the end of the day.
The dark,dark.
The black bird,the lark.
As I sit in the dark I am not afraid.
I have much courage and I am brave.
I see something move in my peripheral site,
I know it wasn't there until it was night.
now as it moves around the room,
I begin to feel an impending doom.
As I close my eyes to pray,
I hear a voice as clear as day.
Like a memory from the past,
my life was taken in a flash.
